UVA rays are often referred to as the "aging rays" because of its unique characteristics:
- pass through glass (office & cars)
- penetrate deep into the skin layers
- are present ALL 365 calendar days regardless of weather or altitude
- are 20 times more abundant than UVB
UVB rays are considered burning rays because they cause sunburn and tanning; and vary with seasons, i.e., stronger in the summer
Choose sun block with "broad spectrum protection"- (which provides protection form BOTH UVA and UVB rays)
