UCLA creates cancer killing T-cells using blood stem cells

Many thanks to Amy at www.cordbloodbanking.com for pointing us at this great story - Researchers from UCLA’s cancer and stem cell centers have demonstrated for the first time that blood stem cells can be engineered to create cancer-killing T-cells that seek out and attack a human melanoma. The researchers believe the approach could be useful in about 40 percent of Caucasians with this malignancy.

Array's Melanoma Drug Promising in Phase 2 Study

A report from Melanoma News Today that Array BioPharma Inc. recently presented the latest results of its Phase 2 clinical trial of binimetinib in patients with advanced NRAS mutant melanoma, at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Annual Meeting in Madrid, Spain.
